I have added a new Workshop, Woodbridge Sunrise.
This workshop begins just before the sun rises and ends shortly after lunchtime. An advantage of an early morning workshop, is just how quiet and peaceful the River Deben will be. Naturally, the start time of the workshop will be timed to make the most of the golden hour around the sunrise, although the tide will be different on the available dates, to add a variety of scenery.
A brief meet & greet will allow us to get to know each other and for me to see what photographic gear you have brought with you. We will then proceed taking pictures around the Tide Mill and along the river as the sun rises over the horizon.
As well as the Tide Mill, there are other key locations to take in and photograph, such as the Sailing club end of the river, and the riverside walk.
Once we have completed all our photography at Woodbridge, we will move eastwards to Shingle Street on the Suffolk Coast. This location is known for its iconic shingle covered beach and the stark landscape, lending itself to great black and white and long exposure photography.
I use a very laid back teaching style, (there won't be any exam question, I promise!), and being a small group, I am able to ensure I spend as much time with all attendees, to help them get the most from their camera and equipment.
You will learn all about reading and setting exposure, composition & framing, as well as how to get the most from the camera settings, such as achieving the best focus and Depth of Field for a scene. If you haven't yet mastered Fully Manual control of your camera, I am sure you will be adept at it by the end of the workshop.
Following the workshop, you will receive my; "From [A]uto to [M]anual, beginners guide to photography", which will help solidify the new skills you learnt on the day.
